If you're sexually active, you're at risk of catching a sexually transmitted infection (STI). Examinations may sound scary, but getting screened for STIs is easy and can prevent health complications for you and your sexual partners.

The Clinics

The Oxford and Banbury Sexual Health Clinics are Genitourinary Medicine Clinics offering a full range of sexual health services. Advice and treatment are free and confidential.

Services provided include:

The clinics are open access - this means that you do not have to be referred by your GP. It also means that you do not have to live locally to use this service. All tests and treatment are confidential and free of charge. Any medication needed will be given to you by the clinic.

You may feel nervous about visiting the clinic. Our staff are trained and experienced in dealing with people who are worried about very personal problems.


Disabled access

The clinic welcomes people with disabilities. There are disabled parking spaces close to the entrance. The clinic is fully accessible for people in wheelchairs and there is a disabled toilet in the department. If you have hearing difficulties or wear a hearing aid, please tell the doctors and nurses looking after you. If anyone needs more support when they attend please contact the department in advance so we can arrange this.
